What to Expect at Interview

Interviews can be a nerve wracking experience, especially when you don't know what to expect. Understanding the key stages of an interview can help you feel more prepared and at ease, allowing you to focus on presenting your best self.

Interviews at Wright Vigar

Interviews at Wright Vigar are predominantly done face to face where possible. This gives you an opportunity to see our offices and meet some of the people you could be working with. It is also your opportunity to gain a final understanding of the role you have applied for and what will be expected of you - use this time to ask any questions you may have.

At Wright Vigar we use our interviews to find out how you work using a mixture of competency based and scenario-based questions. This mix allows us to find out how you would work alongside our teams.

Here are some examples of scenario-based questions that we may use at interview:

  • Talk us through a piece of work or project that you enjoyed and why.
  • Have you had to overcome a challenge? How did you approach this?
  • Can you think of an achievement that you are proud of and why?

Competency based questions are more specific and include demonstration of your technical knowledge. These are important so that we can understand how you fit against the job specification and role responsibilities.

Once you have been successful in securing an interview with us, you will receive an email confirmation containing all the information you need to be ready for the day. This will include the time and date of your interview, who you will be meeting and where to find us.

Please bring copies of any relevant qualifications or certificates with you.

Most importantly, bring your best self to your interview – we are really looking forward to meeting you!
